Matt moved to Tallahassee on July 10, 1996 founded Canopy Roads Baptist Church on September 8 that same year. He and his wife Terri have four grown kids (Allyson, Sara, Emily, and Tim) and three grandchildren. Matt grew up in Midway, Alabama on his family farm. He has a master’s degree in beef cattle nutrition from Auburn University. Following college he worked for ten years with the Federal Land Bank in Alabama. He responded to a call to ministry in 1991 and subsequently obtained a master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before coming to Tallahassee he served two churches in Alabama one of which was a new church plant.
Jordan Stover is a graduate of the Baptist College of Florida. His passion for ministry began in high school, where he served as the 4th and 5th grade Sunday school teacher here at Canopy Roads, and before leaving for college, Jordan was very active on the S.A.L.T. team in which he was voted as the leader for the entirety of his senior year of high school. Jordan’s heart for student ministry is second only for his love for God and the advancement of His Kingdom. Jordan holds a bachelor's from the Baptist College of Florida and is currently working on his master's degree through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
