• Matt Hall - Senior Pastor  

    Matt moved to Tallahassee on July 10, 1996 and founded Canopy Roads Baptist Church on September 8th that same year. He and his wife Terri have four grown kids (Allyson, Sara, Emily, and Tim) and three grandchildren. Matt grew up in Midway, Alabama on his family farm. He has a Master's degree in beef cattle nutrition from Auburn University. Following college, he worked for ten years with the Federal Land Bank in Alabama. He responded to a call to ministry in 1991 and subsequently obtained a Master's degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before coming to Tallahassee he served two churches in Alabama, one of which was a new church plant. 

  • Justin Wester- Associate Pastor of Discipleship

    Justin and his wife Lindsey are both originally from Tallahassee, FL. From 2011-2017, they lived in Lynchburg, VA while attending seminary and, upon their graduation, began working for Liberty University. While in Lynchburg, Justin and Lindsey helped co-found a simple church network and start a landscaping company. They have three children- Aiden, Kennedy, and a baby girl due in May of 2019. Justin has a Master's degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry through Liberty University's School of Divinity. 

  • Cathy Dangerfield- Connections Administrator

    Cathy and her husband Pete moved to Tallahassee from Michigan in 2012. They have three girls, Lucy, Sophie, and Zoe. The two oldest are currently attending Florida State University. The family attended Canopy Roads the first week they arrived and soon made it their church home. Cathy has been working at Canopy Roads since 2015.

  • Melanie Grant- Finance Administrator  

    Melanie and her husband, Mike, are originally from Middlebury, Vermont and moved to Tallahassee in 2009 after Mike retired from the Navy. They have three grown children, Ashley, Stephen, and Bethany, and one grandson, Colton. Melanie and Mike began attending Canopy Roads about six years ago, and Melanie started her job at the church in the summer of 2018. She has a Bachelor's degree in music and a Master's degree in adult education and is passionate about seeing people grow in their relationship with God.

  • Vance Rutherford- Music Director

    Vance grew up in Panama City, and served as both a youth minister and worship leader at his home church. He came to Tallahassee in 2000 where he met his soon-to-be wife Michelle. Around the same time he started attending Canopy Roads, serving as a guitar player in the worship band. Vance and Michelle became members soon after and were married in 2001. They have two children, Fox and Zoey. Vance also works at Community Christian School as the Director of Technology and coaches the Gorillabots, a LEGO Robotics team that Fox and Zoey are both members of.

  • Diane Abrams- Preschool Director (Canopy Kidz)

    Diane and her husband Chad moved to Tallahassee from Pennsylvania in 2014. They have a daughter Destiny who attends FSU and a son Wyatt who is a junior at Chiles High School. The family has attended Canopy Roads since 2004. She has served in the preschool in some capacity since arriving at Canopy Roads. 

  • Alex and Anna Buck- Awana Commanders

    Alex and Anna moved to Tallahassee in 2009 to be closer to their families. They have two children, Will (10) and Elise (8), and black Lab named Daisey. CRBC has been their church home for nine years, and they have led the Awana program since 2017.
